On February 25, 2025, Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Danny Bell Rd., Asheboro, to investigate a report of trespassing. Upon arrival, the reporting individual indicated that a vehicle had been captured on surveillance footage parked in front of the residence. The caller confronted the male, later identified as John Levi McIntosh, who claimed he was merely looking in the dumpster on the property. The caller informed McIntosh that he was trespassing, and the deputies noted clear indications of this violation. Mcintosh was subsequently arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center. During the booking process, methamphetamine and paraphernalia were located in his possession. The magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of a controlled substance in a jail/prison, misdemeanor second-degree trespassing, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was given no bond due to currently being out on pre-trial release. A first appearance was set for February 26, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
