On March 5, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Electronic House Arrest (EHA) Officers were alerted that Rafael Rabadan had removed his monitoring device. They went to Rabadan’s residence to speak with him and upon investigation, the device was located in a wooded area across from the residence, but he was not located.
Rabadan was placed on EHA with Randolph County Sheriff's Office on March 26, 2020, for multiple charges by Ramseur Police Department including trafficking charges related to illegal substances.
On March 8, 2022, a warrant was issued for his arrest for interfering with the electronic monitoring device and a warrant was issued for failure to appear on a felony on May 4, 2022. He also has three outstanding orders for arrest for failure to appear on felony charges involving trafficking of illegal substances.
On May 26, 2022, a bondsman located Rabadan in Georgia and transported him back to Randolph County Detention Center and surrendered his bond. He was served his outstanding processes and the magistrate issued as $155,000 total secured bond plus EHA.
