On May 28, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Randleman Rd., Randleman, in reference to unconscious subjects in a vehicle at a gas pump. Upon arrival, deputies located the subjects, who did not respond to initial communication. After approximately a minute of knocking on the windows, both woke up. The driver was identified as Jimmy Lee Hyatt, who had an outstanding order for arrest for failure to appear on a felony. He was placed under arrest. The passenger was identified as Kristian Nicole Tanzola.
During a subsequent search, Tanzola was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia. She was then placed under arrest.
Both were transported to the Randolph County Detention Center. Hyatt was served his order for arrest and received a bond of $1,000 secured. Tanzola was taken before the magistrate who found probable cause for the following charges: felony possession of schedule I controlled substance, felony possession of schedule II controlled substance, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. She was issued a $2,000 secured bond and a first appearance on May 31, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
