On June 1, 2022, Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area Steele St., Asheboro. Upon approach, the driver was identified as Bruce Lloyd Burrow, who had unserved criminal processes. As Burrow exited the vehicle, paraphernalia was located in his possession. He was arrested for the outstanding orders for arrest. During a subsequent search, illicit drugs and paraphernalia were located belonging to Christopher Shane Brundage, a passenger in the vehicle. Both were transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for charges of misdemeanor possession drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession marijuana, and misdemeanor possession marijuana paraphernalia against Burrow. Burrow was also served his outstanding order for arrest for failure to appear. He received a total of a $3,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for June 1, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
The magistrate also found probable cause on the charges of felony possession heroin and misdemeanor possess drug paraphernalia on Brundage. A $2,500 secured bond was issued. a first appearance was set for June 1, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
