On May 29, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Kindley Farm Rd. Ext., Asheboro, in search of wanted individuals with an active order for arrest for probation violations. James Anthony Duncan and Angel Denise King Auman were located. Initially, Duncan resisted arrest. They were both transported to the Randolph County Detention Center. During the booking process, methamphetamine was located in the possession of Duncan. The magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor resist/obstruct a public officer against Duncan. He was also served with an outstanding order for arrest for the felony probation violation. He was issued a $3,000 secured bond, and a first appearance was set for May 30, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
Auman was served with her outstanding order for arrest for the felony probation violation and received a $100,000 secured bond. A first appearance was set for May 30, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
