On June 2, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to a business on US Hwy 220 Bus N. in reference to a welfare check. Upon arrival, deputies located two subjects slumped over in a vehicle in the parking lot of the business. Once they were awakened by deputies, the driver was identified as Patrick Todd Morgan, who had three orders for arrest for probation violations out of Randolph County, was placed under arrest. During a subsequent search, an illegal narcotic was located in Morgan’s possession. Morgan was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for the charge of felony possession of schedule II controlled substance and served the outstanding processes. He was given a $32,500 total secured bond and a first appearance was set for June 3, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
