On June 4, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Archdale Road and Valley Forge Road in Trinity. Archdale Police Department responded to assist. Upon approach, the driver was identified as David Edward Tidwell, III. The passenger was identified as Victoria Ann Spivey, who had an outstanding order for arrest out of Davidson County. During a subsequent search, methamphetamine and paraphernalia were located. Both subjects were transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Tidwell was also charged with rear lamp violation and fictitious registration plate. He was issued a $6,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for June 6, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
Spivey was given a $25,000 total bond for the outstanding order for arrest and drug charges related to this incident. A first appearance was set for June 6, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
