On June 8, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Team initiated a traffic stop for minor violations, in the area of Burney Rd., Seagrove. During the traffic stop, the driver produced false identification and it was later determined that he had and outstanding order for arrest in Randolph County. During the course of the investigation, a K-9 alerted on the vehicle. A subsequent search was conducted and methamphetamine was located.
The driver, Pedro Hernandez Ramirez, was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center and served with his outstanding order for arrest for Failure to Appear. Once in the Detention Center, additional methamphetamine was also located. The magistrate found probable cause for the charges of Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Felony Possession of Controlled Substance on Prison/Jail Premises and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was given a $31,000 secure bond and a first appearance was set for June 9, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
