On May 9, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Toyolta on Julian Airport Rd., Liberty, in reference to a larceny of multiple electronics that had already occurred.
Following the investigation, charges were sought against Oliver Meyonneh Kai for felony larceny by employee, felony embezzlement, felony possession of stolen goods/property, and felony obtain property by false pretense. The magistrate found probable cause and issued a warrant for arrest.
On August 21, 2025, Kai was located in Guilford County, arrested, and transported to the Guilford County Detention Center, where he was served his warrant. The magistrate issued a $3,000 secured bond, and a court date is scheduled for Sseptember 17, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
