On June 1, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Wayne White Rd., Pleasant Garden, in reference to a larceny/theft. Upon arrival, the victim reported that they had been on a trip and upon returning home found items missing from the residence.
On June 8, 2022, a Criminal Investigations Detective recovered some of the property at a local business. Following the investigation, charges were sought and the magistrate found probable cause to issue warrants for Matthew Harrison Boggs for Felony Breaking and/or Entering, Felony Larceny After Break/Enter, Felony Possession Stolen Goods/Property, Felony Obtain Property by False Pretense and Misdemeanor Domestic Violence Protective Order Violation.
On June 14, 2022, Boggs was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was served the warrants. Boggs was denied bond due to a charge being domestic in nature. A first appearance was set for June 15, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
