On January 15, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Farmer Denton Rd., Asheboro, in reference to a family fight. Upon arrival, deputies located Jonathan Dewayne Walters, who had an active Warrant for Arrest and an active Order for Arrest. During a subsequent search, illegal narcotics and paraphernalia were located.
Walters was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor assault on a female. He received no bond due to the charges being domestic in nature.
He was also served with the Warrant for Arrest for misdemeanor Assault on a Female. He also received no bond for this. He was served with the Order for Arrest for multiple traffic offenses and received a $2,500 secured bond. A first appearance court date was set for January 16, 2026, in Randolph County District court.
