On June 21, 2022, Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to White’s Memorial Rd., Franklinville, in reference an attempt to locate an individual in possession of a stolen four-wheeler. Communications received another call regarding this incident stating a vehicle matching the description given was in the area of Hwy 64 and Loflin Pond Rd. Upon arrival to the area, the vehicle was located in the parking lot of the BP gas station at the corner of Hwy 64 and Loflin Pond Road. Deputies made contact with the driver, who identified himself as Timothy Dewayne Temkey. During a subsequent search, methamphetamine was located. Temkey was placed under arrest and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center.
During the intake process a body scan was conducted and additional methamphetamine was located in Temkey’s possession. He was taken before the magistrate who found probable cause for charges of Felony Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance, Felony Possession of Controlled Substance in Jail Premises and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was given a $2,500 secured bond with a first appearance set for June 23, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
The stolen vehicle investigation is ongoing.
