On July 1, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Apprehension Team conducted a traffic stop on Vision Dr., Asheboro. The driver was identified as Donovan Cequan Brower, who had an outstanding warrant for misdemeanor larceny and misdemeanor possession of stolen goods. Brower was arrested and taken before the magistrate who issued a secured bond of $2,000 and scheduled a first appearance on July 5, 2022. He was then transported to the Randolph County Detention Center. During the booking process, Brower was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. Additional charges were issued for felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of controlled substance in a jail/prison and a misdemeanor probation violation with an additional secured bond of $8,500.
