On June 12, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Riverview Dr. in Trinity, in reference to a Larceny that had already occurred. The victim reported someone had opened a credit card in her name and also used an EBT card for items. Following an investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division, charges were sought against Amy Maddox Loflin, who is known by the victim, for felony financial card forgery, two counts felony financial card fraud and eight counts of felony identity theft.
On July 7, 2022, Loflin was located and arrested. She was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where she was served the warrants. She was given a secured bond of $10,000 and a first appearance was set for July 8, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
