On July 19, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Bethel Lucas Rd., Asheboro, in reference to a suspicious person. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the caller who had reported hearing a subject scream from the direction of an outbuilding located behind a neighboring residence. In the outbuilding, Deputies located Christopher Dylan Bean, who appeared to be under the influence and drug paraphernalia was observed on the floor of the outbuilding. During a subsequent search, illegal narcotics were located. Beane was arrested and transported to the Randolph County magistrate's office where probable cause was found to charge Beane with felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of heroin and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was given a $5,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for July 20, 2022, in Randolph County District Court. He was then transported to the Randolph County Detention Center for processing.
