On March 14, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Charles Mountain Rd. in Denton, in reference to a suspicious person/vehicle. Upon arrival, deputies located the vehicle and subjects. The driver was identified as James Sean Harris. A passenger, Daniel Emmanuel Sturdivant, was wanted for an active Order for Arrest out of Guilford County on a misdemeanor charge and a Child Support Order for Arrest. He was placed under arrest.
During a subsequent search, methamphetamine and paraphernalia were located. Harris was placed under arrest. Both were transported to the Randolph County Detention Center.
The magistrate found probable cause for the charge of Felony Possession of Methamphetamine and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia against Harris. He was given a $10,000 secured bond. A first appearance was set for March 15, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
Sturdivant received a $2,200 total secured bond and a first appearance was set for March 18, 2022 in Guilford County District Court.
