On July 25, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Driftwood Dr., Archdale, in reference to a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, the victim advised he had returned home and found his dogs were out and had secured them in the outbuilding. He then noticed his ATV was missing from his carport and had observed a male in the woods without any clothing on. Deputies walked to the rear of the residence and also observed a white male, later identified as Thomas Zachary Hall, wearing only a small blanket wrapped around his waist and standing next to the ATV. Hall appeared to be under the influence and was placed into custody and transported to Randolph Health for evaluation. Warrants were obtained through the magistrate for felony breaking and entering, felony larceny after breaking and entering, and Resist/Delay/Obstruct.
On July 26, 2022, Hall was served his warrants and was given a $5,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for July 27, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
