On August 26, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to US 220 Business South and Old State Hwy, Asheboro, in reference to a welfare check. Upon arrival, deputies located a vehicle on the side of the road and a female subject, identified as Olivia Rose Johnston. During a subsequent search, methamphetamine and paraphernalia were located. She was placed under arrest without incident and transported to the magistrate’s office where the magistrate found probable cause for the charges of felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession drug paraphernalia. She was issued a $2,500 secured bond and a first appearance was set for August 26, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
