On July 12, 2022, the Randolph County Electronic House Arrest (EHA) Deputies were alerted that Lacey Nicole Wright, who was on electronic monitoring, had failed to charge the battery in her monitoring device. EHA Officers made multiple attempts to locate her to no avail.
Wright was originally placed on EHA for felony probation violation on February 23, 2022. EHA Officers obtained a warrant for felony larceny and misdemeanor interfere with electronic monitoring device and an order for her arrest was issued by the magistrate for the violations.
On September 8, 2022, Wright was located, arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where she was served the outstanding warrant for Felony Larceny, and Misdemeanor Interfere with Electronic Monitoring Device. She was also served the Order for Arrest for Failure to Appear on a Felony, Felony EHA Violation, and Felony Probation Violation. She was also served her additional outstanding warrants as follows:
Chatham County: Felony First Degree Burglary, Felony Larceny after Breaking and Entering, Felony Larceny of Motor Vehicle, and Misdemeanor Injury to Real Property. Guilford County: Felony Larceny of Motor Vehicle. Alamance County: Felony Identity Theft, Misdemeanor Resisting Public Officer, and Misdemeanor Obstructing Justice.
The magistrate issued a $215,000 total secured bond and a first appearance was set for September 8, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
