On September 13, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Hillsville Road, Trinity, in reference to a suspicious person. Upon arrival, deputies located a vehicle in the parking lot occupied by two white males. While speaking with and identifying them, a male and female exited the business and got into the back seat of the vehicle. The driver had a suspended license so the deputy started to identify everyone in the vehicle to find a valid driver. The back male passenger was identified as Christopher David Bryant, who had an Order for Arrest out of Guilford County for Misdemeanor Larceny. The female passenger was identified as Wendy Michelle Bridgman. During a subsequent search, she was found to be in possession of illegal narcotics. They were both arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where Bryant was served his order for arrest and issued a $500 secured bond. He was issued a September 21, 2022, court date in Guilford County. The magistrate found probable cause for charges against Bridgman for felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of heroin, misdemeanor possession schedule IV controlled substance, and misdemeanor possession of schedule II controlled substance. She was issued a $30,000 secured bond. A first appearance was set for her on September 14, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
