On September 22, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Finch Farm Rd., Trinity, in reference to an accident that had occurred in a public vehicular area. Upon arrival, deputies observed a vehicle pulling a camper, that had jack knifed, that was blocking the entrance to the business. A citizen was pulling an unconscious male out of the vehicle. Witnesses reported that the vehicle had been parked further up in the parking lot and had rolled backwards and then jack knifed. Deputies assisted the citizen in removing the male from the vehicle and then assessed his condition. A female, who had been observed stumbling around the vehicle, was assessed by other deputies. Randolph County EMS responded and transported the male to a local hospital for treatment of an overdose.
While attending to the female, identified as Angela Lucille Horner, deputies located heroin. She was arrested and transported to the magistrate's office where probable cause was found for the charge of felony possession of Schedule I Controlled Substance. She was issued a $1,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for September 23, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
