On September 24, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to George York Rd., Randleman, in reference to an assault in progress. While enroute, deputies requested communications to check the male subject involved, Daniel Elwood Posey, for warrants. They advised the he was wanted out of Wisconsin with full extradition. Just prior to arrival, communications advised that Posey had left the residence.
Upon arrival, deputies located Posey hiding in the woods on the north side of the residence and placed him under arrest. The victim was located and evaluated by deputies.
Daniel Posey was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for the Fugitive Warrant. He was given a $150,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for September 26, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
