On October 4, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to US HWY 64 W., Asheboro, in reference to trespassing. The caller reported that Daniel Emmanuel Sturdivant was at this residence and no one should be on the property. Randolph Communications advised that Sturdivant had an outstanding order for arrest. Upon arrival, deputies located Sturdivant in the passenger area of a vehicle in the driveway. He was placed under arrest. During a subsequent search, cocaine was located. He was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of cocaine. He was also served his outstanding order for arrest for failure to appear. The magistrate issued a $3,500 total secured bond and a first appearance was set for October 5, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
