On March 19, 2022, at approximately 3:00 am, a Randolph County Sheriff’s Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a motorcycle traveling on Finch Farm Rd., Trinity. The driver failed to stop and a pursuit ensued. Additional deputies set up a perimeter in the area. The pursuit continued to Bescher Chapel Road where the motorcycle fled into a field. The driver dismounted the motorcycle and fled on foot. A new perimeter was established in the area. Traffic stops were conducted on vehicles in the area; ultimately locating the suspect a short time later in a vehicle that had picked him up. The suspect was identified as Dakota James Foley. He was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for charges of Felony Flee to Elude, Speeding, Left of center, No Liability Insurance, Driving While License Revoked, No headlights, Careless & Reckless, Fictitious Tag, Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign and issued Dakota a $10,000 dollar secure bond. A first appearance was set for March 21, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
