On December 7, 2021, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Electronic House Arrest (EHA) Officers received information that Jordan Lamar Billings monitoring device was not charged. An investigation revealed that Billings had let the bracelet go dead, cut it off, and left it in a mailbox. An Order for Arrest was issued for Billings for Violation of Pre-Trial Conditions of Release /EHA. He also had outstanding Orders for Arrest for Failure to Appear in Chatham and Randolph Counties.
Billings was initially placed on EHA with Randolph County Sheriff's Office on July 29, 2021, for multiple charges.
On November 10, 2022, a citizen reported that Billings was possibly inside a business on Dixie Dr. Asheboro Police Department responded and the subject fled on foot. Members of the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Team were in the area and observed the subject running away from that location and a foot pursuit began. Billings was located at 1226 E. Dixie Drive, arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for three counts misdemeanor resisting a public officer. He was served his outstanding orders and was given a $133,200 total secured bond. A first appearance was set for November 14, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
