On November 20, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Finch Farm Rd., Trinity, in reference to welfare check on an occupied vehicle. Upon arrival, the deputy approached the driver's window and found a male slumped over. They were able to wake him and identify him as Joshua Franklin York. Upon his exit, paraphernalia was located in the floorboard of the vehicle. During a subsequent search, heroin and additional paraphernalia were located. He was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for the charges of felony possession of heroin and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued a $2,000 secured bond with a first appearance set for November 21, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
