On October 20, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Smoke Wood Rd., Randleman in regards to larceny and financial card fraud. The victims reported the theft of financial cards and wallet which had occurred at US 220 Business North in Randleman earlier. Later, the victim was alerted by the bank that a card was used four times at three locations after the theft of the wallet. The information was forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division for further investigation. Following their investigation, charges were sought against Tony Wayne Wall and the magistrate found probable cause, based on evidence, to issue a warrant for Felony Financial Card Theft and Misdemeanor Financial Card Fraud.
On December 1, 2022, Wall was located, arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was served his outstanding warrant. He was issued a $3,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for December 2, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
