On October 1, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to State Hwy 49 in Staley, in reference to an assault that occurred on Shady Grove Rd., Staley. Upon arrival, the victim provided information about the assault and injuries were consistent with the statement given. Randolph County EMS responded to evaluate the victim who was subsequently transported to an area hospital for further treatment.
The investigating deputy presented information to the magistrate who found probable cause to issue a warrant for arrest for Jordan Hamilton Bryarley for Felony Assault by Strangulation and Misdemeanor Assault on a Female.
On December 5, 2022, Bryarley was located, arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was served the warrant for the incident. Bond was denied for these charges due to them being domestic in nature. He was also served outstanding processes out of Chatham County for two Misdemeanor Probation Violations. The magistrate issued a $20,000 secured bond on these charges. A first appearance was set for December 6, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
