On November 24, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Poplar Ridge Dr., Trinity, in reference to a larceny that had already occurred. Upon arrival, the complainant advised that someone had stolen a lift from the property overnight that belonged to her spouse.
During the investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division, detectives spoke with the company from which the lift was purchased. The complainant, Alli Wolford and her husband, Brandon Wolford, reportedly purchased the lift on Saturday, November 12th, 2022, agreeing to a payment arrangement. However, no payment was made as agreed. On Friday, November 18th, 2022, the company was advised by Brandon Wolford that the lift had been stolen.
During the investigation, detectives located a social media post made by the Wolford, advertising the lift for sale. Detectives sought charges against Brandon Wolford for Felony Obtain Property by False Pretense and Misdemeanor False Report to Police and against Alli Wolford for Felony Conspiracy and Misdemeanor False Report to Police.
On December 3, 2022, both Wolford subjects were arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where they were served their warrants for arrest.
Brandon Wolford was issued a $5,000 secured bond and Alli Wolford was issued a $1,000 secured bond. A first appearance was set for both for December 5, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
