On December 7, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Hulin McDowell Rd., Denton, in reference to an agency assist for a stolen vehicle reported to be at this location. Upon arrival, the vehicle was located in the driveway with a male in the driver’s seat, later identified as Andrew Lee Camp of Cooleemee, NC. Davie County Communications notified our deputy that Camp had an active warrant for felony larceny. He was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for a charge of felony Possession of Stolen Motor Vehicle and served his outstanding warrant from Davie County. He was issued a total secured bond of $10,000 and a first appearance was set for December 8, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
The stolen vehicle was returned to the registered owner.
