On December 19, 2022, at approximately 2:30 am, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Old County Farm Rd. in Asheboro. The driver was identified as Lewis Rondez Pratt, 32, of Asheboro, who had outstanding order for arrest for failure to appear on child abuse charges. He was placed under arrest and issued a citation for possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
During a subsequent search, methamphetamine, schedule III controlled substance, marijuana and paraphernalia were located. The passenger was identified as Shaleka Monee Siler, who had initially given a false name. She had seven unserved orders for arrest from various counties. Siler was then placed under arrest and searched.
The subjects were transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where they were taken before the magistrate for their unserved processes and each received their court dates for additional counties. The magistrate issued Lewis a $1,500 secured bond.
Siler was also charged with felony identity theft, misdemeanor resist public officer, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession marijuana paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession of marijuana up to 1/2 oz. and misdemeanor simple possession of a schedule III controlled substance and issued a total $308,000 secured bond.
