On January 2, 2023, a Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of I-73 and Little River Rd., Seagrove. The female driver, identified as Erin Marie Johnson, was wanted out of Guilford County for embezzlement. She was placed under arrest. During a subsequent search, methamphetamine, marijuana and paraphernalia were located.
The passenger in the vehicle, identified as Michael Patrick O’Donnell, also had outstanding processes and was placed under arrest for his warrant for two counts of misdemeanor assault on a female and a misdemeanor injury to personal property.
Both were transported to the Randolph County Detention Center for processing. Johnson was served two warrants for arrest for embezzlement out of Guilford County and received a $3,500 secured bond and was given a court date for January 5, 2023, in Guilford County District Court. The magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of less than 1/2 ounce of marijuana, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Johnson received a $5,000 secured bond and has a first appearance in Randolph County District Court on January 3, 2023.
O’Donnell was served his warrants and no bond was given due to the domestic in nature charges. A first appearance was set for January 3, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
