On January 18, 2023, a Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Doris Acres St. near Grantville Ln., Asheboro; additional units responded to assist. During a subsequent search of the vehicle, paraphernalia and US Currency were located. Deputies located an empty Domino’s Pizza deposit bag in the possession of one of the passengers identified as Stephanie Nichole Langley.
During the investigation, deputies discovered that the bag belonged to the Dominos in Robbins, NC. Robbins Police Department was contacted and reported that a larceny had been reported by that business. Robbins Police Department responded to the scene to take custody of Langley for the incident that occurred in their jurisdiction.
William Horace Grant, the driver of the vehicle, was also arrested for driving while license revoked. The third occupant was released.
Randolph County sought a warrant and the magistrate found probable cause to issue Langley charges for felony possession of stolen goods and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Moore County served the processes on Langley and she received a $5,500 secured bond with a first appearance set for February 22, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
A Criminal Summons was served on Grant for misdemeanor driving while license revoked. A court date set for February 20, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
