On March 18, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop at US Hwy 220 Bus. N. and Price Noble Rd., Randleman. During the stop, the deputy discovered the passenger, Dustin Aaron Poindexter, had outstanding orders for arrest out of Guilford County for driving while license revoked. During a subsequent search, methamphetamine, schedule IV and paraphernalia were located. Poindexter was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where he was served the outstanding order for arrest and received a $1,000 secured bond. The magistrate found probable cause for the charges of felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of schedule IV controlled substance, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued a $2,500 secured bond and a first appearance was set for March 20, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
