On March 21, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Team, assisted by the Vice and Narcotics Division, initiated a traffic stop on I-73 in Randleman. The vehicle was driven by Tracey Canoy Corum. During the stop, a search was conducted and a trafficking amount of heroin was located, along with amphetamine and US currency. Corum was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where probable cause was found for the charges of two counts felony trafficking in heroin, felony maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance, felony possession schedule II controlled substance and misdemeanor possession drug paraphernalia. She was given a $25,000 secured bond with a court date scheduled for March 22, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
Corum immediately posted bond and shortly thereafter became the subject of another investigation.
On April 4, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Division executed a search warrant on Camellia Ln. in Randleman, the residence of Tracey Canoy Corum. During the search, Detectives located and seized a trafficking amount of heroin, amphetamine, marijuana and items of drug paraphernalia. Also located and seized were two firearms and a large amount of US currency. As a result, Corum was transported to Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for the charges of felony trafficking in heroin, felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver heroin, felony possession schedule II controlled substance, felony maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance, misdemeanor possession marijuana up to ½ oz. and misdemeanor possession drug paraphernalia. She was given a $125,000 secured bond with a court date scheduled for April 5, 2023 in Randolph County District Court.
