On March 26, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Regina’s Way, Randleman regarding theft of a motor vehicle and a 50-B violation. Evidence was collected and charges were sought against Robert Mitchell Jenkins for felony larceny of a motor vehicle and misdemeanor domestic violence protection order violation. The magistrate found probable cause to issue the warrant. Later that evening the vehicle was located and it was confirmed that Jenkins had driven the vehicle to that location.
On April 9, 2023, Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Patrol located Jenkins and he was placed under arrest. During a subsequent search, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and a concealed weapon were located. He was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for charges of felony domestic violence protective order/deadly weapon, felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor carrying concealed weapon. He was also served the outstanding warrant. Bond was denied due to the charges being domestic in nature. A first appearance was set for April 10, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
