On April 7, 2023, a Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Deputy conducted a traffic stop on Surratt Dr., Trinity. The driver was identified as Joseph Junior May. Randolph Communications advised that May’s license had been suspended and a citation was issued. During a subsequent search, methamphetamine was located. While searching May, additional methamphetamine was located. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was brought before the magistrate. The deputy presented the facts of this case. The magistrate found probable cause for a charge of felony possession of methamphetamine. May was also served with an outstanding Order for Arrest and charged on citation for driving while license revoked. He was issued a $2,025 total secured bond and a first appearance was set for April 10, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
