On April 14, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop in the area of US Hwy 49 and Mack Rd., Asheboro. During the stop, it was discovered that one of the occupants, Lukas Allyn Wood, had an outstanding order for arrest and was taken into custody. During a search incident to arrest, cocaine and paraphernalia were located.
Wood was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for charges of felony possession of cocaine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also served his outstanding order for arrest and was given a $7,000 total secured bond. A first appearance was set for April 14, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
