On April 11, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office received a report from a business on Old Glenola Rd, Trinity, NC, in reference to breaking and entering, larceny of items from inside the business, and the larceny of copper wire. During the investigation, detectives discovered the suspect(s) had returned to the property on more than one occasion.
On April 21, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division, and the Archdale Police Department conducted an operation, which resulted in the arrest of, Azel Eugene Davis in connection to the April 11 incident. He was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony breaking & entering, felony larceny after break/enter, felony possession of stolen property, felony injury to property obtaining nonferrous metal and felony obtaining property by false pretense. He was issued a $75,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for April 24, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
