On April 25, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Highway Criminal Interdiction Team made contact with a motorist sitting stationary on a moped near I-85 in Archdale. The individual was acting suspicious and attempted to flee once an officer tried to detain him. He was placed into custody and a subsequent search was conducted where methamphetamine and paraphernalia were located. The driver of the moped, Christopher Keith Board, also had two outstanding orders for arrest out of Randolph County for Failure to Appear on a misdemeanor and a misdemeanor probation violation. He also had a Warrant for Arrest out of Guilford County for Felony Larceny.
Christopher Keith Board was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for the charges of felony possess methamphetamine, misdemeanor possess drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor resisting public officer. He was also served with his outstanding warrants and orders for arrest. He was given a $20,000 total secured bond and a first appearance set for April 26, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
