On April 10, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office initially responded to Acts Temple Dr., Randleman, at approximately 7:00 pm, in reference to a family fight in progress. Upon arrival, it was reported that Ricky Shannon Housand had attempted to assault subjects with a knife. Based on evidence and the information provided from the victim and witnesses, Housand was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for the charge of misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon and given a $2,500 secured bond and a first appearance is scheduled for April 11, 2022, in Randolph County District Court. He was ordered not to have contact with the victim.
At approximately 10:00 pm, Deputies were advised that Housand had returned to the residence and had a weapon pointed at another subject. Upon arrival, Housand was located and placed under arrested again. The victims and witnesses advised that Housand returned, entered the residence, obtained a gun from his closet, pointed the gun at them and threatened them.
Housand was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center again and the magistrate found probable cause for the charge of felony intimidating a witness, misdemeanor assault by pointing a gun, and misdemeanor violation of a court order. He was given a $15,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for the same date on this charge.
