On June 10, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Allen Rd. in Sophia, in reference to a Citizens Assist. Upon arrival, deputies located an injured victim. Randolph County EMS responded for evaluation. Following an initial investigation, Noah Collins was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for misdemeanor assault inflicting serious injury, misdemeanor assault on a female, misdemeanor communicating threats and misdemeanor assault on a female.
Noah received a $11,500 total secured bond and a first appearance was held on June 19, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
Following further investigation, charges were sought on June 21, 2023, against Collins for felony assault by strangulation.
On July 12, 2023, Collins had a court appearance on the initial charges and was served the new warrant. Bond was denied and a first appearance was set for July 13, 2023, in Randolph County District Court for the new charge.
