On July 25, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Ridge Dr. in reference to a breaking and entering. Upon arrival, the victim reported that Aaron Jarod Patterson came to the residence and began knocking on the front door and threatening the victim. Patterson subsequently punched through the front door. The victim retreated from the residence using the back door and made it to her vehicle. Patterson chased the victim to her vehicle and prevented her from leaving by blocking the vehicle with his but left the scene before deputies arrived. Deputies collected evidence and went before the magistrate to testify for the charges of felony breaking and entering with intent to terrorize and misdemeanor communicating threats. The magistrate found probable cause for the charges and issued a Warrant for Arrest.
On July 29, 2023, Patterson was located in Guilford County, arrested and transported to the Guilford County Detention Center where he was served this warrant and another outstanding warrant out of Randolph County for misdemeanor larceny. The magistrate issued a $3,000 secured bond and set a court date for August 21, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
