On August 9, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Highway Criminal Interdiction Team initiated a traffic stop for a registration violation on I-85 in Trinity, NC. During the course of the traffic stop, probable cause was developed, and a search of the vehicle was conducted, where a felonious amount of marijuana and an illegal firearm was located and seized. The driver of the vehicle, Judah Isaac Harris, was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for the charges of felony possession of marijuana, felony possession with intent to manufacture / sell / deliver marijuana and misdemeanor carrying concealed weapon. He received a $50,000 secured bond with a first appearance set for August 10, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
