On August 31, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office had responded to a call on US Hwy 220 S, Asheboro, and while on scene, observed Francis Allen Murray, Jr., who had an outstanding order for arrest for failure to appear, exit the business. Murray was placed under arrest. Methamphetamine was located in his belongings. He was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where he was served the order for arrest. The magistrate also found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamine. He was issued a $52,500 total secured bond. A first appearance was set for September 1, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
