On September 4, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Oak Hollow Trail, Franklinville, in reference to a fight. Upon investigation, deputies observed Tanya Michelle Long inside a vehicle and she advised she had a ride coming to pick her up and she just wanted to leave the property. Other subjects on scene agreed that was probably best. The deputy offered to give her a ride in order to de-escalate tensions and she agreed. During a consensual search to transport, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were located in her possession.
Long was placed under arrest and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. She was issued a $1,500 secured bond and a first appearance was set for September 5, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
