On February 7, 2025, deputies with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a suspicious person at a residence on Post Rd., Thomasville. During the investigation, deputies identified Geoffrey Shane Brisson and determined he was in violation of sex offender registration requirements. Brisson was taken into custody and charged with felony failure to report to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office as required following his release from jail. He was transported to the Randolph County Jail, where a magistrate found probable cause. Brisson was scheduled for a court date on February 9, 2026, and no bond was issued at the time of arrest.
